Today

Unwitting children follow

Unknowing elders that

Have lost their faith in meaning

Have lost their faith in fate.

Today is just another day

Of an endless cycle of days

Where the moon cannot fathom

Just how long a life will spin.

The unwitting chidren beg

For an infinity of tomorrows

and cry for their poor adulthood

Which they surely will meet?

Today is just another day

Be it bad of good

Because the sun will not fathom

Just how long a day you have.

(Inspired by the Allison Hallett workshop.)
