Us

We sleep until awake has no meaning;

Losing daylight;

Hours run out of time,

Men turn to sand,

As hands move along.

Our eyes, sore of tears,

Buckle our knees.

Against strain of stress we fight,

Salt stained skin;

No more.

Hostility melts lives,

Like lava, it destroys:

Us.

No hunger,

No life,

No wonder,

As the volcano erupts.

And the river bursts its banks.

Weighted Weightless,

Your mind hurries on like the current

Of this ever present nothing
